TESTIMONIO FABRICIO BARROSO EL MAYOR CAMBIO FINANCIERO
Alright… I just hit record, so let me just talk honestly for a minute. I joined Investep Academy a few months ago, and I wanted to make this video because before I joined, I was exactly the type of person this program is designed for — like, I had some interest in investing, I kept hearing people talk about building wealth through the markets, but I never actually pulled the trigger because I felt like I didn’t know what I was doing.
I didn’t grow up with financial education. Nobody taught me how the stock market works, what an ETF is, how to evaluate a company, or even why the market moves the way it does. All I ever heard was: ‘Investing is risky,’ ‘Be careful,’ ‘Don’t mess up your money,’ stuff like that. So for years, I avoided it.
What pushed me over the edge was realizing that not investing is actually riskier. My money was literally sitting in a savings account doing nothing. Inflation was eating it alive. And I got tired of that feeling of being behind.
So I joined Investep Academy expecting, you know, another online course. But I’ll tell you exactly what surprised me: how simple they make everything. Like, the stock market finally clicked for me — not because they dumb it down, but because they explain it in a way that actually makes sense to normal people.
The modules start from absolute basics — like, what the stock market even is, why it exists, who participates in it — and then it moves into the stuff that always scared me: charts, indicators, company fundamentals, strategies… all of that. And I found myself going, ‘Wait… this isn’t actually that complicated.’
What I appreciated the most is that they don’t push the whole “day-trading lifestyle” or trying to get rich overnight. It’s very grounded. It’s about long-term investing, compounding, building a foundation, and making smart decisions based on data — not emotions.
The lessons on risk management alone were worth the price. I didn’t realize how much emotion controls investing. FOMO, panic selling, chasing hype — I’ve done all of that before. But once you understand the mechanics of risk, why markets behave the way they do, and how to create an actual investment plan, investing becomes… calm. Predictable. Even kind of fun.
Now, the biggest thing I want to talk about — and honestly the part I wasn’t even expecting — is the confidence I gained. I used to read financial news or see charts online and feel like I was looking at a foreign language. Now, I open my portfolio and actually understand what’s happening. I can look at a stock and know whether it’s overvalued, undervalued, or something I should avoid entirely. I know how to research a company instead of just following random tips.
And the community sessions… those were huge for me. Getting to hear other students ask questions I didn’t even think to ask helped a ton. The live breakdowns where they analyze different stocks and ETFs in real time — that was one of my favorite parts. It’s one thing to learn a concept, but seeing it applied on the spot made everything stick.
I also want to say something because I know a lot of people wonder about this — no, you don’t need a lot of money to start. That was one of my biggest limiting beliefs. I thought investing was only worth it if you had, like, thousands of dollars to throw in. But they teach you how to start small, how to automate the process, how to build positions over time, and how to actually make your money work for you even if you’re starting with something tiny.
The funniest part is… I used to think investing was something only ‘finance people’ did. Now I’m the one explaining investing concepts to my friends and family. I’m literally pulling out charts at dinner like, ‘Look at this! This is why this stock dipped, and this is why it’ll likely recover.’
Never thought I’d be that person.
And look — I’m not saying I’m some Wall Street wizard now. I’m still learning. I’m still improving. But Investep Academy gave me the foundation I needed. Like, I don’t guess anymore. I make decisions with logic. I understand the risks. I have an actual plan.
And I think that’s what most people are missing — a plan. Not hype. Not luck. A real strategy.
So yeah… if you’re someone who’s been curious about investing but intimidated by it, or you already invest but you feel like you’re just winging it… honestly, this program bridges that gap. It gives you structure. It gives you clarity. And for me, it gave me the confidence to finally build a portfolio I understand instead of just hoping it goes up.
Anyway… that’s my honest experience. I didn’t really plan this out, I just wanted to speak from the heart and hopefully help someone who’s in the place I used to be — overthinking everything and stuck on the sidelines. If that’s you, then trust me: learning how to invest the right way might be the most empowering thing you ever do.”
